To undergo hair transplantation

It must cost a lot of money to get a hair transplant. My dad has very little hair, and I want to give him a hair transplant, but even if I have extra money, I can't easily do it. My dad is getting older, so I think he has given up. He also says he doesn't like wigs. Is the cost of a hair transplant really that expensive?
