Is self-dyeing worse for hair loss?

These days, I sometimes dye my hair at home.

The hair dye works well, too. And it's much cheaper.

Is self-dyeing worse for hair loss than getting it done at a salon?

I can't just not dye my hair at all, so I'm at a loss.
