Has anyone seen results from hair loss prevention shampoo?

There are many types of shampoos that claim to prevent hair loss.

It's on the expensive side, so I'm wondering if it's effective.

How much should I use it for it to be effective?

I guess I should refrain from getting perms or dyeing my hair as well, right?
