Is it true that oral hair loss medication is ineffective for women?

As I get older, my hair is getting thinner and I'm losing volume...

It seems like that is especially true on the top of the head.

I've heard that oral hair loss medication isn't very effective for women. Is that true?

Please let me know if there are any products that have been effective for hair loss.
