Introducing Hwamyeong-dong Obstetrics and Gynecology (Incontinence).
Incontinence... something that comes with childbirth and aging.
It came to me too..ㅜㅜ
There are three types of incontinence.
*Stress urinary incontinence
The most common types of urinary incontinence
Coughing, jumping rope, laughing, and straining your stomach can cause urine leakage.
*Urge urinary incontinence
I have to urinate, but I can't even go to the bathroom.
Even if the bladder is not full of urine, the bladder contracts and leaks urine.
*Mixed incontinence
Two things appear in combination
This is my first case of stress urinary incontinence.
First of all, I decided to get a checkup because I was very uncomfortable.
The hospital is Mizwell Obstetrics and Gynecology, where I gave birth to two children and went for checkups.
I was sitting down after checking in and the manager called me in.
After checking that there were no changes in my basic personal information, he guided me to see a doctor right away. The director is so kind that he always makes me feel good. He told me to see a doctor right away and run tests first before seeing me again. The tests included blood test, urine test, electrocardiogram, and chest X-ray.
I did this and had a pelvic exam.
A pelvic examination is actually a urodynamic examination.
Insert a catheter and inject saline solution. Coughing causes urine leakage and measures changes in bladder pressure.
After the test was over, I sighed in relief.
I guess I was too nervous..
I went back to see the doctor and he said he wanted to schedule surgery.
I need surgery..ㅜㅜ
The surgery is a TOT surgery. It takes about 20 to 30 minutes, he said, and showed me pictures.
I'm listening to the explanation and I'm nervous again... Why did I say I should do it... I thought about whether I should not do it. But after checking and doing it once, I didn't do it, so I have to do it again... Then I have to do it...
These days, there are a lot of people who work, so they explain that it's possible to have surgery on Saturday and be discharged on Sunday. Same-day discharge is also possible, but I heard that my legs hurt so much that I can't walk well. I think it would be better to take painkillers at night.
I made a reservation for Saturday, June 10th and paid.
I calculated it and gasped again... 220,000 won... It's more than I thought...
They give me a piece of paper telling me to bring what I need for the surgery, and the words "Erase your nail polish" are clearly visible.
I asked the manager and he said I had to erase it because the machine didn't recognize my finger. When I told him it hadn't been that long, he said I should just erase my left thumb and index finger. Haha
There were many rumors that nail removal was not allowed during surgery, but it was actually not allowed...
There's also a pediatrics department on the second floor of the hospital, so it's convenient for seeing children. I like the pediatrics director, so I still go there to see my first and third year middle school students.
As I was leaving the hospital, I looked up Kegel exercises, which I hadn't done in over 40 years. I'm scheduled for surgery in two weeks, but since it's exercise, I think it'd be good to do them, right? Let's do it together, everyone^^
Thank you for reading the long post. I will post another review after the surgery.
