Sharing my experience with keloid treatment at DL Clinic in Changwon.

Over time since getting my ear piercing, I felt that the area was gradually becoming raised and hard, so I visited a dermatologist. At first, I thought it was just simple inflammation or a scar, but after the examination, I was told there was a possibility it was a keloid and realized that proper care was necessary.
After assessing the current size and condition, the hospital guided me through the treatment plan step by step. They explained that keloids often shrink gradually through a combination of injection therapy and compression management rather than disappearing all at once. The detailed explanation of the treatment process, duration, and precautions significantly reduced my vague anxiety. The procedure was completed in a relatively short time, and while there was a momentary sting, it was not a major burden. I was advised to minimize irritation and avoid touching the affected area after the procedure. I noticed slight changes after a few days, and management proceeded with repeated treatments to gradually reduce the size.
What was particularly impressive was the point that rather than expecting unreasonably fast results, it is important to manage the condition stably, taking into account the possibility of recurrence. The explanation that consistent monitoring is necessary because keloids can manifest differently depending on an individual's constitution was also helpful. It was an experience that made me realize the importance of early detection and management.
