I visited the dental clinic to check the condition of my wisdom teeth, something I had been putting off because I had been feeling a persistent dull pain in my molars. After registering, I filled out a medical questionnaire, specifically noting when the discomfort started and the intensity and nature of the pain. Since the waiting time was short, I was able to receive treatment relatively quickly. In the examination room, the dentist first visually inspected my oral condition, and then performed a panoramic X-ray to more accurately assess the location of the wisdom teeth and the surrounding gums. After the scan, I reviewed the monitor and received a detailed explanation of how the wisdom teeth were growing and whether they were pushing against adjacent teeth. I learned that one of my wisdom teeth was lying diagonally inward, making it easy for food to get trapped and increasing the risk of inflammation. Following this, the dentist checked my gum condition and determined if scaling was necessary. I was then presented with options regarding whether immediate extraction was required or if I could simply monitor the situation with proper care. I was impressed by the explanation that while the pain wasn't severe, it was advisable to consider extraction in advance due to the possibility of recurrence. The entire treatment process was not rushed, and the dentist explained everything step-by-step in an easy-to-understand manner, which made me feel less burdened despite it being my first visit. It was helpful to be able to accurately understand my current condition and determine the direction of management even without proceeding with treatment immediately, and I felt much more at ease as I could schedule my future appointments with plenty of time.
