My father's gums are in very bad condition, so I went with him. He has old upper and lower front prosthetics; they are about 20 years old, and perhaps because he has used them for so long, his gums have deteriorated significantly. The doctor recommended that we replace his dentures this time, as there is a government subsidy available.
Since it was something unexpected, I felt I needed to think it over a bit, so I just received gum treatment. I think dentures are really bad, both in terms of eating and appearance. When we expressed our concerns, the doctor mentioned that implant-supported dentures are also an option and recommended them. I think I need to do some research at home and come back later.
