I had to avoid showing my fingers to others because of fungal fingernails, but I decided to take this opportunity to get treated and visited Soho Clinic. I made an appointment and visited based on a friend's recommendation.
The director examined me and said it would get better with about six months of treatment, so I guess I should give it a try.
The treatment sequence involves filing down the nails with an electric machine. There are a total of three types of machines. It hurts because the nerves in my nails are sensitive. Next is laser treatment. They say it kills the bacteria under the nails. Finally, they apply medication to the thinned nails, and that's it. They said it only takes six months like this, and that it is possible as long as I apply the medication consistently once a month, so I will trust the director and keep coming.
