I was told that I needed to take antiviral medication to get better, so I went to the family medicine clinic near my house.
The doctor prescribed me a 3-day supply of oral medication and acyclovir (ointment) because the blisters were severe. They say that for herpes, it's best to come to the hospital right away as soon as the blisters appear. I went on the 3rd day, so the inflammation was severe and it hurt.
