A quick and encouraging experience with a non-sedated gastroscopy at Namoo Women's Hospital.

I went to the hospital for a national health checkup. My appointment was scheduled for 11:30, but I got a call saying they could hurry up, so I arrived at 9:00.
This was my first time getting an upper gastrointestinal endoscopy without being sedated, and while it was a bit difficult, I managed to get through it. The internist encouraged me and praised me for doing a good job during the procedure. Finally, when the endoscope hose was removed, he pulled it out all at once, which was incredibly helpful. It was faster than having it done under sedation, which was nice. And while I did feel a bit of a foreign body sensation in my throat and stomach, it was worth it.
I'm thinking about getting a non-sleep checkup next time, too. Thanks to the quick turnaround on the other tests, I was able to successfully complete this year's health checkup.
