I live with rhinitis, so whenever dust or a little pollen gets into the air, I get a runny nose.

Due to a weakened immune system from this cold, I developed sticky nasal mucus, so I decided to visit BS ENT Clinic, a well-known otolaryngology clinic.

I was diagnosed with sinusitis after my medical examination.

The paranasal sinuses are empty spaces around the sides of the face near the nose that regulate air temperature entering through the nose and protect the brain from impact.

The inner wall of the paranasal sinuses is connected to the mucous membrane and nasal cavity. Secretions and waste products produced by the mucous membrane are discharged through the passages connected to the nasal cavity, but when these waste drainage pathways become obstructed and unable to function properly, they accumulate, leading to inflammation and resulting in sinusitis.

The black area on the side of the nose in the X-ray is normal, and the white area on the opposite side indicates inflammation.ㅠ

Thanks to the kind doctor's detailed explanation, I learned more about sinusitis and was able to start treatment.

In addition to oral antibiotics for medication treatment, nasal mucosal spray was used to relieve nasal congestion and runny nose symptoms. After taking antibiotics for about a week and experiencing some improvement, I was advised to continue for another week. After completing the second week, fortunately, I recovered, and I no longer needed to visit the ENT clinic.

Chronic sinusitis that does not improve with antibiotics or medication may also be considered for surgery.

If you usually have allergic rhinitis and experience thick, yellow nasal discharge due to a cold or rhinitis, consider sinusitis and see a doctor for treatment.

I need to properly manage my sinusitis to be free from it, as I never know when it might recur.

The hospital is large and crowded, so the wait time was a bit long, and online reservations were not available, which was a little inconvenient, but thanks to the kindness and consideration of the doctors and nurses, I received good medical care and left satisfied.

It's better to leave early since the reception closes at 5:50 PM, even though the hours are from 9 AM to 6 PM.
