Improving dietary habits for those suffering from dermatitis
### Review of getting better after cutting out greasy foods after suffering from dermatitis
I suffered quite a bit from dermatitis for a while. As the itching and redness recurred, I became conscious of the products I applied to my skin, and I worried whenever even the slightest symptom appeared. I tried various methods, but I realized that I also needed to review my lifestyle habits.
So, I decided to try to cut out greasy and spicy foods like chicken and pizza as much as possible for about a year. At first, it wasn't easy to resist the foods I liked, but instead, I changed my eating habits by making sure to eat relatively bland foods such as rice, vegetables, tofu, and eggs.
Over time, my skin felt more comfortable than before, and I felt that the recurring symptoms of dermatitis, which had been a constant source of concern, had noticeably diminished. Of course, one cannot conclude that dermatitis is caused solely by food, and the causes and reactions vary from person to person. I, too, consistently paid attention to my skincare and lifestyle habits along with controlling my diet.
After personally changing my eating habits for a year, I realized that even small habits are important for health. Going forward, rather than completely fearing foods like chicken or pizza, I intend to eat them in moderation and maintain a light and balanced diet on a daily basis.
