Cataract surgery and vision

I have a few friends who had worn glasses for decades but took them off after cataract surgery. When I asked them about the situation, they said that since the lens is scraped out during cataract surgery, their eyesight is restored.

These days, as such things become part of everyday life, I am realizing anew the advancement of medical technology.
