Drinking a glass of water 30 minutes before a meal and another glass within 30 minutes after a meal is also good for health. Drinking water 30 minutes before a meal can give a feeling of fullness, which may reduce the amount of food consumed, and increasing body hydration can boost metabolism, aiding in weight loss. Additionally, drinking water after a meal helps rinse the mouth, preventing the proliferation of bacteria left in the mouth.

Drinking water before sleep can keep the skin moist and elastic. Body hydration also affects tear production, which protects the eyes, so drinking water before bed can help replenish moisture in the eyes. Additionally, drinking warm water may aid in the treatment of sleep disorders. For those who frequently experience leg cramps while sleeping, hydration can also be beneficial, as the cause of the cramps may be due to dehydration of the leg muscles.
