My hair seems to be shimmering. I went to the hospital for a check-up and was told I have floaters. It's a symptom caused by aging, so there's nothing to do but adapt to it. They said if it gets worse, I should come back to the hospital. On cloudy days or days when I do a lot of computer work for my job, the shimmering becomes more intense and uncomfortable. On sunny days, I get used to it and it's okay, but I don't know when it becomes severe enough to need medical attention. They also said that aside from examinations, there are no other treatments available, which is really troubling. I wonder if taking lutein regularly would help; I keep taking it consistently but don't notice any effect. I read online articles claiming that certain supplements are good for floaters, but even the local pharmacist doesn't know about them. I'm worried about just buying and taking supplements based on internet articles. If anyone has experienced relief from floaters by taking a supplement called pineapple extract, please reply.
