Daejeon Dermatology

A late elementary school child started developing small pimples on the forehead, which then turned into a few pustular spots, so we visited a dermatology clinic in Daejeon. After consulting with two or three dermatology clinics over the phone, I decided on "Daejeon Techno Yonsei Dermatology" because they provided only the medication prescription as I wanted.

I've tried everything from Mediqu*, popular items on Instagram, Olive Young acne products, to pharmacy items, but sometimes my skin was okay and other times it got worse... there was no progress.

There are places where they proceed with skincare cosmetics and acne extraction, so I want to try only with topical and oral medications first.

I went to Daejeon Techno Yonsei Dermatology. Since my child is still young, I only received a prescription for topical medication. I received two prescriptions: one for the skin-sensitive area and another for the forehead or thick skin.

I could see gradual improvement, and with consistent use, the results became quite noticeable. The acne on my cheeks was gradually clearing up... it didn't worsen significantly, and it seems to vary depending on hormones at different times.

Doctor, I can't say it's 100% effective, but when applying the medication, they advised to generously cover the acne areas, and if I want to extract the pimples, to do so only when needed. Acne medication isn't covered by insurance, so it tends to be a bit expensive, and visiting the hospital for extraction can be time-consuming and costly. However, at this hospital, they assessed the child's condition and mainly used medication, monitoring progress and discussing it, which I liked. Some hospitals tend to overprescribe, but this place didn't do that, which was good. After applying the prescribed medication, I definitely noticed improvement, so I continue to use it regularly and visit the hospital occasionally.
