My upper elementary school child started developing small pimples on his forehead, and then one or two at a time, like pustules, so I went to a dermatology clinic in Daejeon. After consulting with two or three dermatologists over the phone, I decided to go to Daejeon Techno Yonsei Dermatology because they simply prescribed the medication I wanted.
Because of my acne, I tried MediQ*, Instagram-famous products, Olive Young acne products, and drugstore products, but sometimes it was okay and sometimes it got worse... There was no progress.
Other dermatology clinics offer acne treatment package products,
There are places that use dermatological cosmetics and pop acne, so I wanted to try using only topical and oral medications first.
I ended up going to Daejeon Techno Yonsei Dermatology. Since my child is still young, I only received a prescription for topical medication. I received two prescriptions: one for sensitive skin and one for thicker skin on the forehead.
I started seeing some improvement, and after using it consistently, I saw a significant improvement. I started getting acne on my cheeks too, but it wasn't that severe, and it seemed to change depending on my hormones at the time.
The doctor said that he couldn't say that it would 100% prevent acne, but he told me to apply the medicine thickly to the acne area and to only ask if I wanted him to squeeze it out occasionally. Acne medicine is a bit expensive because it's not covered by insurance, and going to the hospital and getting it squeezed out can be a burden in terms of time and money. But this hospital was nice because they focused on the medicine after examining my child's condition and discussed the progress. I heard that some hospitals overprescribe, but I liked that they didn't do that. I definitely felt an improvement after applying the medicine, so I continue to use it consistently and visit the hospital every once in a while.
