The experience of smiling awkwardly for 3 months after getting Botox at a cheap place — including the side effects of trapezius muscle Botox.
Botox might look like a simple procedure, but if you get it done wrong, you'll really suffer. I'll share my story of failure.
I once got jaw Botox at a cheap place. They just roughly injected it, and the placement was wrong.
Even the muscles that lift the corners of my mouth lost their strength. So for nearly three months, even when I smiled, the corners of my mouth wouldn't go up, and I smiled awkwardly.
The injection site for Botox is really important, and the difference in the doctor's skill completely makes all the difference in the results.
The trapezius Botox failed, too. Since the trapezius is such a large muscle, I lost the strength to lift my arm after getting the injection.
It was to the point where I couldn't even lift objects. Also, because my trapezius muscles were weak, they pulled on the surrounding muscles, causing my neck to become extremely stiff and preventing me from turning my head.
I got it to get rid of the stiffness, but it actually got worse.
Please also be careful of Botox resistance. If you get injections too often, you will develop resistance, and the effect will wear off later.
I recommend making sure to stick to the 6-month cycle and recording the corresponding dates on a calendar.
