At this time of year when I dread the autumn sun, does gaining a little weight cause my skin to change as well?
Does gaining a little weight cause your skin to change as well? Lately, I've noticed more dead skin cells flaking than before, and my skin looks dry and flaky just an hour or two after washing my face. I'm confused whether this is simply due to my weight or if my skin barrier has weakened with age. On top of that, the autumn sunlight feels stinging, and seeing dark spots appearing through it makes me feel even heavier.
In the past, it felt like my skin stayed hydrated all day after applying moisturizer, but now it dries out quickly, forcing me to constantly reapply it, and my skin seems to have become more sensitive. Every time I look in the mirror, I notice dead skin cells and blemishes, and I feel like my confidence is gradually diminishing. Ultimately, I realize that skincare isn't simply a matter of using a single cosmetic product; it requires taking care of my lifestyle habits and overall health as well.
🍂 Autumn is bountiful, but it seems like a harsh season for the skin. Have you ever experienced your skin becoming more sensitive or worried about dead skin cells or blemishes when the seasons change?
