Dietary therapy plays a very important role during dieting.

Even if you exercise, it is difficult to lose weight effectively without proper dietary management.

First, let's review once more the basic dietary principles that should be followed regardless of the season.

1. Do not skip meals and eat regularly.

② Try to eat a balanced diet and limit snacks.

③ Limit calorie intake, but instead of eating a small amount of high-calorie foods, replace them with lower-calorie foods to eat sufficiently.

Limit the intake of fast food, instant foods, and processed foods.

From after dinner until just before going to bed, develop the habit of not consuming any food or drink except water.

 

The following are additional diet meal methods to pay more attention to during the summer season, beyond basic dieting techniques.

 

Prepare dishes that can be enjoyed cold, such as salads or cold soups, using vegetables, seaweed, or mushrooms. Adding protein foods like chicken breast, tofu, beans, or eggs makes it a complete meal.

 

② Kongguksu, cold noodles, buckwheat noodles, and other similar dishes are enjoyed during the summer. When preparing these types of noodles as a meal, consider the following points.

1) First, when eating noodles, the number of chews tends to decrease compared to eating rice, making the meal time shorter. Therefore, it is important to eat slowly and chew thoroughly.

2) Choosing buckwheat or arrowroot noodles instead of those made from white flour is advantageous for dieting because they raise blood sugar levels more slowly.

3) Try to reduce the amount of noodles as much as possible and prepare enough vegetables.

Except for soybean noodle soup, it is easy to become deficient in protein when eating a bowl of noodles for a meal. When eating cold noodles or buckwheat noodles, add lean boiled meat or egg whites. Especially for buckwheat noodles, reduce the amount of noodles and prepare to consume protein-rich foods separately.

 

③ When your appetite decreases, you might think that eating less will help with dieting, but the original purpose of weight loss is to maintain health. Therefore, even when dieting, it is very important to eat a balanced diet regularly without skipping meals to ensure adequate nutrient intake.

If you have lost your appetite due to hot weather, increase your intake of vegetables and fruits, and try dishes with vinegar to stimulate your appetite.
