Prevention of colds through high-dose zinc and vitamin D supplements
I easily caught colds and felt uncomfortable and exhausted during seasonal changes like spring and summer. I looked for the best way to prevent colds, and three supplements seemed good. So I continuously took high-dose zinc, vitamin D, and vitamin C supplements to prevent colds.
First, to prevent colds, I took an Intero Zinc Immune Complex, which was a Canadian product containing 50mg of zinc and 2mg of copper, thus having a higher content than the daily recommended intake. In fact, I had never taken zinc separately before, but zinc is said to reduce the risk of infection and enhance the efficiency of the immune system fighting infections. Therefore, I took zinc because it is effective in blocking viruses, and I would recommend it for cold prevention.
The second supplement I took to prevent the cold was Donghwa Pharmaceutical's high-dose activated Vitamin D3 5000IU. It is a high-dose activated Vitamin D3 designed for modern people, with 1,250% of the daily nutritional reference value, and it uses cholecalciferol Vitamin D3, which has high bioavailability and absorption rate, so many people were taking it. Since Vitamin D helps strengthen immunity and prevent the spread of infectious diseases, it seems essential for cold prevention.
Third, to prevent the cold, I took Dr. Wang Jae Park's Mega Vitamin C 2000mg from Vitono. Since I used 100% pure DSM British vitamin powder, it was easy to supplement vitamin C, which is difficult to obtain solely from food. Vitamin C has the ability to reduce coughing and alleviate cold symptoms, so I have been prescribed vitamin C for cold treatment before. Because vitamin C has antioxidant properties and simultaneously boosts immunity, it was effective in preventing colds.
