I suffered from acid reflux. Finally, I will tell you how I got better.

Make sure to eat foods that are good for your stomach. Do not lie down after eating; taking a walk is very important.

 

Should I say that I used to live somewhat irregularly? Haha... Honestly, I think I just lived like an ordinary modern person...

I drank coffee every day. Always an iced americano. And my favorite foods were spicy and greasy. But I didn't eat three meals a day.

However, I don't really like to move, so after work, I just ate, took a walk once, and kept lying down. Especially on weekends, I didn't get out of bed.

There were quite a few moments when I thought I might have acid reflux. In the mornings, a bitter taste would rise in my throat, and after eating, my throat would feel tight. The symptoms gradually worsened, and at some point, I couldn't digest properly and always felt a foreign object in my throat.

 

I kept feeling bloated and uncomfortable, so I went to the hospital and was diagnosed with reflux esophagitis.

I received a prescription for Keppra, and since it's a well-known medication, it works well. It gets better quickly. However, since reflux esophagitis is caused by dietary habits, if you don't change your eating habits, it will keep recurring.

 

Reflux esophagitis: No coffee or alcohol allowed! It's really important ㅠㅠ It's very difficult... and also, spicy, hot, and greasy foods are prohibited.

After quitting coffee, alcohol, and eating healthy food, I can feel that my throat no longer hurts in less than a week without taking medicine. Then I realize. I was abusing my body...

The phlegm that was always stuck in my throat due to reflux esophagitis has completely disappeared, and my voice is no longer hoarse, making me feel more comfortable.

These days, I am mainly eating a lot of cabbage, which is said to be good for the stomach.

There are also things like cabbage juice and cabbage pills, but I don't bother buying those. I just buy cabbage from the supermarket and cook it. Cabbage is inexpensive and good for your health, so I really like it.

 

And I take Jarrow Mastic Gum as a supplement. I heard it's really good for the stomach. Since reflux esophagitis involves stomach acid coming up, my stomach isn't doing well either.

The price is a bit high, but the effects are good. As with all supplements, consistent intake is necessary for results to appear.

 

And you also need to minimize the time spent lying down at home. This was actually the most difficult for me. Since reflux esophagitis involves stomach acid refluxing, standing or sitting up makes acid reflux difficult. However, just looking at the bed makes me want to lie down continuously... This is still difficult for me. Still, I have reduced it a lot compared to before. Most importantly, lying down immediately after eating is absolutely forbidden!

 

Unfortunately, reflux esophagitis recurs immediately whenever you drink coffee or eat spicy and greasy foods. In such cases, you should quickly go to the hospital and get a prescription for K-Cap. For those who find it difficult to visit the hospital, I also recommend this medication. It contains famotidine, but since tolerance can develop, avoid taking it for more than two weeks.

However, not only regarding reflux esophagitis but also all health and longevity, the conclusion is that regular lifestyle habits and healthy eating habits are key.
