I searched on Naver for an ENT clinic that offers sleep studies because of my snoring. I chose BS Sleep ENT Clinic, which has the best reviews and is close to where I work. There are many doctors from university hospitals, and the hospital itself was spacious and clean. All the staff and doctors were very friendly. They asked detailed questions about my symptoms and did allergy tests through blood work, took pictures of my head, and immediately recommended a sleep study based on the images of my neck. I quickly scheduled the sleep study and received a CPAP machine prescription, went through the adjustment period, and was able to use my health insurance benefits for the CPAP equipment. Concerned about my rhinitis, they also prescribed a nasal spray, which I could use for a year under health insurance coverage. I highly recommend this friendly and clean hospital!

I went to Bangawoon ENT because my ear was hurting, and even though it was Friday, I was seen pretty quickly. Dr. Ban Won-woo was very thorough and explained everything kindly. My ear had started hurting after I went swimming, so I thought maybe water had gotten in, but he told me that the water would drain out naturally. It turned out that the ear pain was caused by using a cotton swab after swimming. I usually clean my ears with cotton swabs out of habit, but he told me that I shouldn’t be digging around in my ears with them, so I’m really going to be careful from now on. He said that irritating the inside of the ear too much can actually cause inflammation or pain, and it made me wonder if I had been cleaning them way too enthusiastically all this time 😂 After the appointment, my ear pain felt much better and I was relieved. If I have any problems with my ears, nose, or throat next time, I’m planning to come back. The staff were friendly, and the overall atmosphere was comfortable, so I was able to get treated without feeling pressured.

I started seeing Dr. Ko Young-joo in 2024. There’s usually such a long wait that you could practically take a nap before being seen, but rather than going from one hospital to another, I feel like this is the right place for me, and the doctor is really good at treating sinusitis. Whenever my nose starts running with yellow mucus, I rush straight to the hospital without a second thought. I got overconfident and tried taking medicine from the pharmacy because I wanted to reduce the number of pills I was taking, but I learned that sinusitis only gets better when you take antibiotics. The doctor cleared out my nasal passages so well, and it became much easier to breathe. These days, whenever I catch a cold, my head starts feeling heavy and foggy within a few days, and then the sinusitis comes back. Thankfully, it hasn’t gotten to the point where I need surgery. I was a little nervous when the doctor suggested taking images, but thanks to the reassuring care I received, this has now become our regular hospital for all three of us in the family. If you want to come in the same day, it’s almost impossible unless you go during the daytime, so making an appointment is absolutely essential.

Today, I visited Boryeong Open ENT Hospital located at 36 Hannae-ro, 2nd floor, Room 201 in Boryeong City. They treat issues related to the ears, nose, throat, and allergies. Boryeong has a unique demographic structure where the overall population is decreasing, but the elderly population is steadily increasing, leading to the perception that you must go to a large hospital in Seoul no matter what. Compared to nearby Gunsan, there hasn't been a decent ENT clinic in Boryeong, forcing parents of young children to travel far to Gunsan for treatment. However, Open ENT Hospital not only has basic equipment like an endoscope, audiometer, suction device, and ear examination tools, but they've also installed a low-dose X-ray machine, so you don't have to go to a big hospital in Seoul for some cases. Of course, for detailed examinations, they will connect you with a general hospital. They explain everything in detail, which does lead to a longer wait time, but if you visit around 11 AM, that’s just about the right time.

I would recommend it to anyone who needs to see an ENT!
