Apparently, it’s because my eyes don’t fully close and I sleep with them open. They’re also dry... He said the cataracts were in pretty bad shape... Thankfully, he said my optic nerves were fine despite having neurofibromatosis. Since it seems like I sleep with my eyes open, I put in eye ointment before bed and used the paper tape sold at pharmacies to tape my eyes shut. But when I wake up in the morning, the tape is no longer on my eyes—I find it stuck to the blanket or my arm. I think I must have peeled it off in my sleep. He also told me to apply warm compresses often, so I bought some red beans and made a red bean pouch. I’m supposed to drink plenty of water too, but I’m not very good at that...

I figured it would be better to keep using my eyes as long as possible, so I decided to wait until the Cataract progresses and have the surgery then. My daughter had ICL surgery. She had enough space and plenty of endothelial cells, so she was able to undergo the procedure, and she’s very satisfied because the results are excellent.
