Due to presbyopia that accompanied LASIK surgery 20 years ago, I found myself in a situation where my tears would not dry up.
Especially on cold and windy days, it was to the point where you could say I practically went around crying.
The elderly director at the local ophthalmology clinic told me that since I have dry eye syndrome accompanied by surgery and presbyopia, there is no other solution, so I must diligently use artificial tears.
I happened to hear that tear treatment is available at Gangnam Bright Smile Ophthalmology, so despite the high cost, I received a total of 5 treatments (4 sessions plus 1 service session) over several months, and I would like to share the results.
During the first and second consultations, a needle puncture was performed on the tear ducts accompanied by laser irradiation. For the remaining treatments, tear duct cleaning and laser irradiation were performed. Although there was a slight improvement during the first and second sessions, perhaps because it is winter, there did not seem to be any significant improvement during the subsequent treatments.
Even though it was spring yesterday, I didn't feel any particular improvement, perhaps due to the cold snap.
You mentioned that the number of treatments or physical reactions may vary from person to person, and although it is covered by private health insurance, considering I had to schedule visits for several months for a relatively expensive treatment, it didn't really resonate with me.
Still, there are consistently people receiving treatment, perhaps because some are seeing results.
The staff are all friendly and the facilities are clean.
It seems the clinic has a certain level of recognition for vision correction surgery, as I noticed many national team and professional athletes came in for the procedure.
There is a hospital at Exit 11 of Gangnam Station, so accessibility is good, and parking is available in the tower.
