Treatment for the nevus flammeus began around 50 days after birth and has continued for a year or two, even now that the child is 11 years old. It's a tedious battle, but I can't give up because I keep seeing signs of improvement, so I think I'm continuing the treatment. We started with general anesthesia and then progressed to topical anesthesia, but now that the child is older and more cooperative, we're doing it without anesthesia. I heard that it's a little more effective without anesthetic cream, and fortunately, the child said that it's bearable with only a slight stinging sensation.
I don't know when this tedious fight will end, but I'm grateful that there's a hospital nearby where I can get treatment, and I'll keep going until I'm completely cured.
