How can I get rid of back acne discoloration marks?
I once had severe acne on my back.
In particular, I frequently had red acne breakouts starting from the back of my shoulders up to my shoulder blades.
Fortunately, I hardly get any acne right now.
The problem isn't the acne, but the marks left behind.
Even without wearing particularly low-cut clothes, my back acne was visible even in clothes like that.
At first, I thought it would naturally fade over time, but even after several years, the brown discoloration remained exactly the same.
I thought it would eventually disappear, but it's lasting much longer than I expected.
Since I recently started going swimming, every time I look in the mirror wearing a swimsuit, it really stands out that my back looks really messy.
If I had discoloration on my face, I would have managed it sooner, but since my back is so hard to reach and difficult to care for, I think it ended up like this.
How should I manage back acne discoloration or body acne scars?
The way I do it is
1. First, use a scrub 1-2 times a week,
2. Use a body wash specifically for troubled skin.
3. Apply body lotion diligently after showering, and
4. I always apply sunstick to my back as well.
With this... I think it's still not enough.
Is the skincare routine for the body very different from that for the face?
Is it okay to apply the same whitening cream or regenerating cream to the face?
I am curious if the care methods for body skin are different because its thickness and characteristics differ from facial skin.
I am also curious whether long-standing brown discoloration can be improved with home care or if dermatological procedures like laser treatment are necessary for effective results.
Would a laser be the most effective?
If I get laser treatment, is it effective after just one session, or conversely, do I need multiple sessions to see results, like with blemishes?
If anyone else has been struggling with discoloration marks after their back acne cleared up like me, please let me know which method was the most effective.
I keep getting worried about my back.
