A note written by a schizophrenia patient - Be sure to visit the hospital early in the course of schizophrenia

This is a note written by a schizophrenia patient, haha.
I thought it was just a story that only appeared in TV shows or movies, but I never imagined I would actually experience that illness myself. The reason I am writing this is because I want to tell anyone who is experiencing early symptoms of schizophrenia like me to definitely go to the hospital. I also hesitated at first whether I should go to the hospital or not, but looking back now, that choice changed my life.
At first, I just thought I was tired or under a lot of stress. Things weren't going well, it became difficult to talk with the people around me, and suddenly I found myself spending a lot of time alone. As a result, I started to become increasingly concerned about what others thought of me. It felt like someone was watching me, and everything I said or did seemed to carry meaning. I had the feeling that people knew what I was thinking inside my head, and it seemed like those thoughts were controlling me.
At this point, I realized that it was no longer just simple stress or fatigue. However, I was also scared and hesitant to go to the hospital because I was worried I might seem strange. I tried to endure it with the mindset that "it will get better." But the situation gradually worsened. I started to think that even my family members were watching me, and I began to suffer from delusions that someone was trying to harm me. My anxiety became extremely severe, and I couldn't sleep properly at night, which made me feel like I was really breaking down.
At that time, my family persuaded me to go to the hospital. As a note written by a person with schizophrenia, I felt ashamed to go to the psychiatrist, but looking back now, it was the right choice that saved me. I went to the hospital and consulted with a doctor, and the test results diagnosed me with early-stage schizophrenia. That moment was truly shocking. However, hearing that treatment was possible gave me a small hope.
The first advice I received at the hospital was to start medication. At first, I was scared to take the medicine and worried about the side effects, but as I continued taking it, I began to improve little by little. The confusing thoughts in my mind decreased, and my delusions gradually disappeared. Along with medication, I also received regular counseling, which helped me organize my emotions and thoughts one by one.
The important thing was to believe that I could overcome my illness while receiving treatment. Consistency is the most important aspect of treatment. Before going to the hospital, I denied my condition, but once I started treatment at the hospital, I realized that there are many things I can do. Now, I have learned how to cope when symptoms recur and I am able to take better care of myself.
It is to the extent that I can write that I am a person with schizophrenia.
I have recovered a lot and can now go about my daily life.
I hope this will be of great help to you all haha
