As someone who has directly experienced symptoms of schizophrenia, I had a truly chilling experience.
Once, I started to hear whispering voices constantly around me.
At first, I just tried to ignore it, but the voice grew louder and louder, and it even called my name.
Meanwhile, those voices claimed that I was doing something wrong, even suggesting that I was in great danger.

Another day, when I was alone at home,
It felt as if the shadows cast from the wall were following my body.
I was so scared of the shadowy figures that have no substance lingering around me that I wanted to run away, but,
My body became stiff and I couldn't move.
Moreover, I believed that people were watching me, so I couldn't ask anyone for help.
I felt so anxious thinking that people in public places were watching me that I couldn't even go outside.
These experiences clearly demonstrate how frightening the symptoms of schizophrenia can be.
Currently, I am managing my symptoms through treatment and counseling, but at that time, they were truly terrifying moments.
