Nasal chaos caused by seasonal rhinitis... saline irrigation alone is insufficient
Whenever the seasons change, my nose senses the change before my body does, showering me with sneezing and a runny nose.
At first, I thought it was a mild allergy, but the symptoms have worsened over time and are significantly disrupting my daily life.
Especially on days when sneezing is severe, it is accompanied by a splitting headache, making it impossible to concentrate on work or study at all.
The increase in intraocular and intracranial pressure caused by nasal congestion and sneezing is even dampening my motivation for daily life.
For now, as a temporary measure, I am attempting saline irrigation about once or twice a week.
However, there is a clear limit to soothing the pouring runny nose and swollen mucous membranes with this level of intermittent rinsing.
Immediately after washing, my nose would feel clear for a moment but would quickly become blocked again, and sometimes the sensitized mucous membranes would get irritated, causing severe sneezing to occur more frequently.
I am concerned that continuing physical washing might actually be harmful when the nasal mucosa is already irritated and weakened.
I try to moisturize in my own way.
I desperately need a way to go beyond mere temporary relief by washing things out and eradicate this chronic rhinitis that recurs every change of season.
What exactly is the fundamental treatment step to alleviate sneezing, runny nose, and headaches?
I would like to know about professional management methods or prescriptions that can boost the natural healing power of sensitized mucous membranes and help them react less sensitively to environmental changes.
I want to find a practical alternative so that I no longer have to live with toilet paper.
