A troubling question! Is it okay to just ignore the recurring stuffy nose that occurs every season?
Lately, perhaps because of the large daily temperature difference, my nose has been stuffy and my throat has been a little scratchy every morning. I don't have a fever or any aches and pains, so I don't really care, but I'm having trouble breathing, can't concentrate, and keep blowing my nose. I'm confused whether it's rhinitis or the early stages of a cold, and it's concerning that similar symptoms seem to recur every year around this time. I've been using a humidifier and drinking warm water frequently, but there hasn't been any significant improvement. I'm wondering if it's better to wait a few more days, or if it would be better to visit an ENT specialist for a more accurate diagnosis. If anyone has been to the hospital with similar symptoms, I'd also be curious to know what diagnosis they received.
