Has anyone tried artificial tear gel/ointment type?

I have only used artificial tears in the form of eye drops so far.

I saw on YouTube that quite a few people seem to be satisfied with gel or ointment-type artificial tears.

I'm considering it because it might be uncomfortable.

But they said they are very satisfied because it is extremely moist.

Please share if anyone has tried it and found it helpful.
