My health concern these days: Will I be okay on that day when it gets late?
Hello! Today, I'm a bit cautious, but I'd like to be honest about my personal health concerns. My period has been two weeks late, and I'm increasingly worried that something might be wrong with my body. I'm even more puzzled because there's absolutely no chance of pregnancy, and since this is my first time experiencing this, I'm really unsure of what to do.
How's everyone's health? I'm usually pretty health-conscious, but something's been bothering me lately. My period, which used to be regular, has been two weeks late. Honestly, I thought it was normal at first, but it's the first time it's been this late, so I'm a little anxious. I checked just in case, but the odds of pregnancy are zero, which makes me even more frustrated.
Having never experienced anything like this before, I've been vaguely worried, but I'm hoping there might be others who have had similar experiences, so I'd like to share my concerns and the information I've found. There are apparently many causes of delayed periods. While it can be due to specific medical conditions, even in cases like mine where there's no specific medical condition, lifestyle can play a significant role.
The most common causes are, of course, stress and overwork. These are all too familiar keywords for modern people. It's said that accumulated stress can disrupt reproductive hormone secretion, temporarily delaying menstruation. Rapid weight loss due to extreme dieting, obesity, lack of sleep, and extreme physical activity can also cause menstrual delays. I've also seen information suggesting that conditions like thyroid dysfunction, polycystic ovary syndrome, and uterine fibroids can also cause menstrual irregularities, but fortunately, none of these conditions apply to me.
In my case, I recently worked late into the night to meet a project deadline. I was sleep-deprived and under a lot of mental stress. I think this may have played a role. I realized once again how even these seemingly small lifestyle habits can have a significant impact on women's health.
Will it be okay if I'm late that day?
