Pyeongtaek Seongse Children's Hospital (Pediatrics)
Recently, my nephew started developing a fever at night, and by morning it was well over 102 degrees Fahrenheit. His cough had gotten so bad that he was having trouble breathing, which was truly alarming. I always go to the hospital when my child is sick, and this time, I headed to Pyeongtaek Seongse Children's Hospital without hesitation. It's a hospital that specializes in children, so I always feel reassured.
Arriving at the hospital, I was struck by its motto: "Treatment with the same care as a parent," and the entire hospital was beautifully designed to be a comfortable space for children. It seemed like they were doing a great job of creating a relaxed atmosphere for my child to receive treatment, which was really nice. After registering and waiting a short while, I was able to see the doctor right away. Given its popularity, I was worried it would be crowded, but fortunately, I visited on a weekday morning and the wait wasn't as long as I expected.
As soon as I entered the examination room, the doctor got down to my child's level and asked me detailed questions about my symptoms in a gentle voice. When I told him I had a fever and a bad cough, he listened to my lungs with a stethoscope and checked my throat, carefully explaining the cause of my child's distress. Rather than simply prescribing medication based on symptoms, he examined my child's overall condition and treated me with "honest and trustworthy expertise." I was deeply touched by the way he explained everything in detail, even details I hadn't even considered, just in case I had any questions. He also kindly explained how to take the prescribed medication and provided meticulous advice on home care, which was incredibly helpful.
However, one thing I did find disappointing was that the hospital building is a bit old, so the parking space felt a bit cramped. I was concerned that I might have to use a nearby public parking lot. However, the treatment was so satisfactory that I felt this was a tolerable issue.
After receiving the prescription, I returned home, administered the medication as instructed by the doctor, and ensured my child got plenty of rest. Fortunately, the next day, the child's fever began to gradually decrease. After about two days, the fever was completely gone, and the severe cough was almost completely gone within a week. I was reassured to see that the pediatrician's care definitely helped speed up the recovery process. The hospital's slogan, "A comfortable space for our children, honest treatment, and trustworthy expertise," truly fit the bill.
