Goyang Dermatology Maypure Clinic Hwajeong Hemangioma Removal Review
Hospital Introduction
This is Maypure Clinic Hwajeong Branch, where I visited to remove a hemangioma.
It is a dermatology clinic that is opening up in many regions these days.
It hasn't been long since it opened in our area. That's why the dermatology clinic is clean, and since they held an event right after opening, I visited a few times at a good price.
It is located in the heart of the neighborhood's bustling center, so it is easy to find, and since it stays open quite late in the evening, it is a good place to go after work.
Since this is a franchise dermatology clinic primarily focused on procedures, I noticed that a lot of people use it for treatments.
Perhaps because it is a franchise, I felt that the work manuals and the internal system of the dermatology clinic were very well organized.
And everyone at the dermatology clinic was very kind.
It is difficult for a dermatology clinic to do that, but I was impressed by how well they handled customer service.
Laser treatment
The procedure I received was removing a hemangioma with a laser.
I'm talking about a hemangioma, which is a red dot!
I was diagnosed with cherry angioma.
Actually, the hemangioma wasn't on my face but on my finger, and since it was small, I wasn't paying much attention to it.
While talking about a mole on my finger after going to get a skin tag removed
I heard that the hemangioma on my finger is also removed using the same laser machine as skin tags, so I decided to just remove them all together!
They explained everything very kindly, and since it was a simple procedure, it finished very quickly. Also, because the hemangioma wasn't large, the price wasn't a burden. As far as I know, the price goes up if there are many of them or if they are large.
Procedure Review
- Before removing the hemangioma
That vivid red dot... It's not a scar, it really is a dot haha.
Wipe the treatment area with an alcohol swab and place your hand on the treatment table.
Then the doctor comes over and explains it to us in detail once again.
The doctor said it would hurt a little, but it didn't hurt at all.
The procedure was over in the blink of an eye; since they only fired the laser once at the hemangioma rather than cauterizing it multiple times, it finished quickly.
It feels like a slightly cold wind laser is shooting out.
I placed a cold alcohol swab on it to soothe it, waited a few minutes, and then came out.
- After removing the hemangioma
A scab forms the very next day after removal.
Later, the scab fell off quickly, and the wound faded from red to reddish-brown.
But even after a few weeks, some of it still remained, so I wondered if I needed to get it done one more time. I consulted with the doctor, and
They told me that it has faded a lot to this extent, and while a faint trace might remain, I didn't need any additional procedures! So I didn't get a second session.
If it had been an unethical dermatology clinic, they might have recommended a second or third visit...
So I trusted and waited, and after a few months, the wound did disappear.
Now after the procedure
The scar is gone, but there is a slight trace left—a mark from where the mole was removed—but since it was so red... I'm not really paying attention to it and I'm doing well.
Hemangiomas usually occur congenitally from birth to early childhood, but it is said that they also frequently appear suddenly after adulthood.
It is best to remove hemangiomas immediately after noticing them. Since the roots deepen over time, making it difficult to lighten them if removed late, those with hemangiomas should have them removed with a laser right away!
