My wrist nodules have become semi-chronic for some time now...
I go to the orthopedic surgeon quite often because of the nodule.
The orthopedic surgery I'm introducing today is Open Orthopedic Surgery in Goyang, Gyeonggi-do.
It is a hospital located about 6 to 8 minutes away on foot from the station. It is located on the roadside, so it is not difficult to find.
Clinic hours
Mon-Fri 09:30 - 18:30, Sat 09:30 - 13:30, Closed on Sundays.
Pros and Cons
There is only one director, not many teachers.
I personally think it's better to have one doctor take charge of everything than to have several doctors.
But because of that, the wait is long.
The long wait is a downside, but they provide excellent treatment without overtreating.
The desk assistants are just okay haha
Although it is an old local hospital, it is clean and the physical therapy room is nice.
Treatment of nodules
The treatment I received at Open Orthopedic Surgery was for a nodule on my hand.
A nodule is a lump of fluid that has leaked out of the joint.
Here's a photo of a cyst I had on the back of my hand a while back. Small cysts can disappear naturally, but larger ones like this require a syringe to remove.
Nodules have a tendency to relapse even after treatment, and this time, too, there was a relapse...
I got a typo in the same spot again? I guess that location is not good.
I was hoping it would heal naturally, but I ended up going to the hospital because I had bruises and pain next to the water.
Treatment methods for nodules include draining the joint fluid using a syringe or ultrasound machine.
I've tried both injection therapy and ultrasound therapy, and both are quite painful.
After the ultrasound treatment is finished, physical therapy is performed like this.
This time, it was small, so I took it out with a syringe.
The red injection mark disappeared after a few days and now the back of my hand is smooth!
I am satisfied with the excellent treatment I receive every time I visit.
The fact that there is a long waiting list means that patients trust and visit this hospital, so I guess that's why haha
I hope the nodules don't come back at least this summer!
