This is a review of my recent visit to Lee Jong-soo Otolaryngology in Deogyang, Goyang, due to a lump in my ear.
The lump kept getting bigger, and I started feeling heat and pain, so I went to the hospital.
At first, I was 고민ing whether to go to dermatology, but since the location is 귀, I thought treatment might also be possible at ENT, so I visited the ENT department.
Usually, the hospital's lunch break starts at 1 PM, and the reception closes before 1 PM.
Since it was already past midnight at that time, I called in advance to ask if it was okay, and I was told I could come now, so I went right away.
I was grateful that you accepted it even just before lunchtime.
The hospital is located right in front of the subway station, so it only took a minute from the station and I could get there quickly.
The hospital's consultation hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with lunch break from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., and on Saturdays, it closes at 1 p.m. without a lunch break.
When I went in and showed my ear, they immediately diagnosed it as an eardrum rupture.
Before treatment
After treatment
I had never heard of this verse before.
It looks like a pimple or skin cyst, but you can think of it as a pus-filled lump that has formed in the external auditory canal. They explained the name and symptoms accurately and clearly.
I liked that you explained things clearly and simply. I was surprised that you made the diagnosis immediately upon seeing me.
I received the anesthesia injection and drained the pus, and it wasn't that painful, and the treatment was finished quickly.
The abscess wasn't large or serious, so I drained the pus, disinfected, and finished the treatment, then left the hospital shortly after. I think it took less than 30 minutes in total.
Perhaps because the pus was drained, the recovery was very fast. I was careful to keep water away only on the day of the procedure, and after two days, I don't think I felt anything anymore.
Currently, the inside of the ear is very clean without any trace of the incision.
Since it's a local hospital, the facilities aren't flashy or glamorous, but it has everything it needs, and I was surprised to find a children's playroom inside the hospital. Usually, neighborhood hospitals don't have playrooms.
It's a very old hospital, so there are many loyal patients, making it a hospital that has been operating for a long time.
Above all, the doctor straightforwardly focuses only on the consultation. The consultation is simple and without unnecessary prescriptions, injections, or ointments, which I liked the most because there is no over-treatment.
There weren't any particularly disappointing points. However, those who prioritize facilities might find it a bit disappointing.
This is a review of visiting the ENT department for treatment of this condition.
