It was a cozy weekend, but there was some dust.
The weather is supposed to get colder again starting next week.
The weather is quite unpredictable~
Please take care of keeping warm and go out carefully~
On Monday the 17th, the mild temperatures over the weekend will drop again. In most parts of the country, the wind will blow strongly, making the perceived temperature even lower, so you should pay attention to staying warm.
The Korea Meteorological Administration forecasted on the 16th that "tomorrow (the 17th), temperatures will be about 5 to 10 degrees lower than today," adding that "morning temperatures will be similar to the average, but from the afternoon onwards, they will be lower than the average."
In most areas across the country, strong winds with gusts around 55 km/h (15 m/s) are common, so facility management and safety precautions should be taken seriously.
Morning temperatures are expected to drop to around -10 degrees Celsius mainly in the inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon.
The sky will be generally clear across the country due to the influence of the expanding cold continental high-pressure system in northern China. Jeolla Province and Jeju Island will occasionally experience partly cloudy skies.
From the 17th to the 18th, the expected snowfall on Ulleungdo and Dokdo is 3 to 10 cm, and the expected rainfall is 5 to 10 mm.
The minimum temperature on the morning of the 17th will range from -7 to 0 degrees, and the highest daytime temperature will fluctuate between 1 and 9 degrees.
The morning low temperatures in major regions are Seoul -4°C, Incheon -3°C, Suwon -4°C, Chuncheon -5°C, Gangneung -1°C, Cheongju -3°C, Daejeon -4°C, Jeonju -3°C, Gwangju -2°C, Daegu -2°C, Busan 0°C, and Jeju 3°C.
The daytime high temperatures are Seoul 3°C, Incheon 1°C, Suwon 2°C, Chuncheon 4°C, Gangneung 5°C, Cheongju 3°C, Daejeon 4°C, Jeonju 4°C, Gwangju 5°C, Daegu 6°C, Busan 8°C, and Jeju 7°C.
The fine dust concentration is expected to be from "Good" to "Moderate" across all regions due to the influx of clean northwesterly air currents. However, Daejeon, Sejong, North Chungcheong, and the Yeongnam region will temporarily show "Bad" levels during the early morning hours due to the influence of fine dust carried in from the previous day.
