Hello...
It's a bit embarrassing, but I want to share my experience related to cystitis. I am someone who recently experienced cystitis for the first time.
At first, I started going to the bathroom more frequently, and then I began to feel a burning sensation when urinating. I wondered, "Could it be cystitis...?" but I was too embarrassed to go to the hospital and just endured it. When I searched online, I found that cystitis is usually common among women, so I...
Still, I wonder if it's not me.
But my symptoms kept getting worse. I constantly felt the urge to go to the bathroom, but even after going, I didn't feel relieved... I kept waking up at night to go to the bathroom. At work, I kept going to the bathroom, and my colleagues kept asking, "Why do you go to the bathroom so often?"... I felt so embarrassed.
Especially during meetings, it was the hardest. It was a two-hour meeting, and I kept bouncing my legs because I wanted to go to the bathroom in the middle. My body was uncomfortable, and I was worried about the surrounding gaze... It was truly like hell.
Eventually, I thought I couldn't go on anymore, so I left work and went to the obstetrics and gynecology clinic. I hesitated outside the door for a while... then I mustered up my courage and went in. I felt like everyone in the waiting room was staring at me, so my face turned red.
I was very shy about explaining my symptoms to the doctor, but surprisingly, he listened so naturally. After tests, it turned out I had a bladder infection. According to the doctor, sitting in cold or humid places for a long time could be the cause. I also wonder if overusing the humidifier during winter might have had an effect.
I was prescribed antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs, and they explained the living guidelines thoroughly. They told me to drink plenty of water. Also, when I want to go to the bathroom, I shouldn't hold it and should go immediately... They also advised avoiding caffeine and alcohol for the time being.
After I started taking the medication, my symptoms improved after about two days. Drinking plenty of water definitely helped, and my urine was less painful... After about a week, I almost returned to normal.
Now, prevention is important. Drinking water frequently, not holding back when using the bathroom, staying warm... Paying attention to these things has helped prevent recurrence.
What I realized from going through this is that I shouldn't delay going to the hospital because I feel ashamed. In fact, if I had received treatment earlier, I would have suffered less...
I realized that health issues are nothing to be ashamed of. If you're sick, don't hold back—go to the hospital right away!
These days, female doctors can also be searched in advance, so it's a must!
