I also did a self-diagnosis and about five things applied to me. I'm relieved that the result was normal, but I need to make more efforts to stay healthy. I usually don't eat breakfastㅠㅠ I'm wondering if I should at least eat something simple.

 

Even on busy mornings, breakfast is important... Otherwise, it's easy to experience a blood sugar spike...

 

On busy mornings, many people opt for simple meals such as bread, cereal, fruit juice, or fruit. However, these foods are composed of simple sugars, which can cause a rapid increase in blood sugar levels after eating, so caution is needed. When blood sugar rises quickly, inflammation and oxidative stress in the body increase, and insulin is also secreted excessively.

 

On mornings after a long period of fasting overnight, blood sugar spikes are also likely to occur. To prevent this, it is good to consume foods rich in protein, fats, dietary fiber, as well as fruits rich in vitamins and minerals. Suitable fruits for breakfast include berries such as blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and apples.

 

💥 On the other hand, bananas are rich in dietary fiber and potassium, but eating them on an empty stomach in the morning can raise blood sugar levels. Tomatoes, when eaten on an empty stomach, combine with pectin and stomach acid, making the stomach feel bloated and causing indigestion, abdominal pain, and other discomforts.

 

Blueberry and other berry types are rich in antioxidants... They also help regulate blood sugar levels and improve blood pressure and cholesterol levels.

 

Berries such as blueberries are rich in antioxidants like polyphenols and anthocyanins, which help stabilize blood sugar levels. Raspberries, which are high in dietary fiber, can reduce hunger before lunch and are also beneficial for gut health.

 

It is said that eating an apple in the morning is like gold. Eating an apple on an empty stomach stimulates intestinal movement and makes bowel movements easier. It promotes the production of beneficial gut bacteria while expelling harmful bacteria, which is good for intestinal health. It also provides a feeling of fullness, helping to prevent overeating.

 

It's also good to pair fruits, yogurt, and nuts... Greek yogurt raises blood sugar slowly and keeps you full longer.

 

Adding yogurt or nuts along with fruits further enhances the nutritional benefits. Greek yogurt is rich in calcium, protein, and fats, which are often lacking in fruits. It also has a low carbohydrate content, making it effective for regulating blood sugar levels.
