They forecasted it would be really cold today; is it really this cold?

That's the temperature of my car this morning.

I got to the office, oh my god lol -19 degrees

 

Is it because the company is surrounded by mountains and water?

It always goes down about 1-2 degrees more

 

It's cool in the summer,

In winter, even if I turn on the office heater, it doesn't work at all lol

 

It seems like the heater has only gone up to 15 degrees right now.

It needs to be around 20 degrees to be even remotely warm.

[Today's Weather] Cold wave advisory nationwide... Morning low of -22 degrees 'severe cold'

 

Asia Today Reporter Park Ju-yeon = With cold wave advisories issued for most parts of the country, severe cold is expected to continue on Friday, the 10th.

Morning lows will range from -22 to -5 degrees, and daytime highs will range from -6 to 4 degrees.

The lowest morning temperatures by region are forecast to be -22 degrees in Cheorwon and Daegwallyeong, -19 degrees in Chuncheon, and -12 degrees in Seoul and Daegu.

Until the 11th, morning temperatures will be very low, around -15 degrees (around -20 degrees in some mountainous areas of Gangwon) mainly in the central region, eastern Jeonbuk, and inland Gyeongbuk, and around -10 degrees in other southern regions.

Daytime temperatures will remain around 0 degrees in most areas (below -5 degrees in the northeastern inland areas of Gyeonggi and the inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon), and strong winds will make the perceived temperature even lower, so you should take care of your health.

The whole country will be mostly clear, but the Chungnam, Jeolla, and Jeju regions will be mostly cloudy.

There will be occasional rain or snow in the southern west coast of Chungnam, the western Jeolla region, and Jeju Island.

The expected precipitation for the 9th and 10th is around 5 mm or less than 5 mm in the southern west coast of Chungnam, Gwangju and western inland of Jeonnam, northern inland of Jeonbuk, and eastern Jeonnam; 5 to 10 mm in the west coast of Jeonbuk, southern inland of Jeonbuk, and west coast of Jeonnam; and 5 to 20 mm in Ulleungdo, Dokdo, and Jeju Island.

The expected snowfall amounts are 3–8 cm in the southern west coast of Chungnam, Gwangju, and western Jeonnam (more than 10 cm in some areas along the west coast of Jeonnam), 3–10 cm in the west coast of Jeonbuk, the southern inland of Jeonbuk, and the mid-mountainous areas of Jeju Island (more than 15 cm in some areas), 1–5 cm in the northern inland of Jeonbuk, eastern Jeonnam, and the coast of Jeju Island, 5–15 cm in the mountainous areas of Jeju Island (more than 20 cm in some areas), and 5–20 cm in Ulleungdo and Dokdo.

In the western coastal areas of Jeonbuk and Jeonnam, there may be places with heavy snowfall of 1 to 3 cm per hour from late dawn to morning and at night.

Fine dust concentrations are expected to be at a 'good' level nationwide due to favorable atmospheric dispersion.
