A person who is now 40 years old A study found that drastically changing your eating habits, such as cutting down on unhealthy foods like sugary processed meats, can lead to an additional 3 to 10 years of healthy longevity. all.

An international research team, including the University of Glasgow and Newcastle in the UK, the University of Bergen in Norway, and Dickens University in Australia, announced the results of their analysis of UK Biobank data.

"Working out at the gym and taking some supplements are important, but the most important thing for a healthy longevity is enjoying delicious, nutritious food," said Lars T. Fadnes, a professor of global public health and primary care at the University of Bergen in Norway and corresponding author of the study.

The research team wanted to quantify how changes in food intake increase life expectancy across age groups. They hypothesized that adherence to the UK's Eatwell Guide, a dietary guideline, would increase life expectancy at each life stage. They called this "longevity-related dietary pattern." They also developed a tool to estimate changes in life expectancy due to changes in food choices. The team analyzed data from 467,354 participants in the UK Biobank.

Research results show that, on average, men and women in their 40s who adhere to longevity-related eating patterns can increase their life expectancy by approximately three years by improving their eating habits. Specifically, those with the least healthy eating habits were found to live approximately ten years longer by switching to a longevity-related diet. Furthermore, men and women in their 70s who switch from an unhealthy diet to a "longevity diet" can also live an additional three to four years longer and healthier.

The research team said, "We analyzed that reducing the intake of sugar-sweetened beverages and processed meats and increasing the intake of whole grains and nuts can increase life expectancy the most."

===========

Eat some whole grains and nuts,

Eat less sugary drinks and processed meats

I guess this is the way to extend lifespan.
