Scientific verification of the blood sugar regulation effect of ginseng intake

Do you take red ginseng?

I also ate a lot of red ginseng water, red ginseng jelly, red ginseng candy, and red ginseng functional foods.

It has been scientifically proven that consuming red ginseng has a positive effect on blood sugar regulation.

It has been confirmed that the blood sugar regulation effect of red ginseng has been identified, and the potential for future diabetes treatment and prevention of diabetic complications has been recognized.

Research will continue steadily from now on.

Don't eat too much, and take small amounts of healthy red ginseng without additives or sweets.

Preclinical research results have been announced indicating that red ginseng (KGC05pg) improves key blood sugar-related indicators such as fasting blood glucose, postprandial blood glucose, and hemoglobin A1c. These findings were published in the international journal 'Journal of Medicinal Food' in November.

According to the report by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF), approximately 530 million people worldwide have diabetes, meaning 1 in 10 adults has diabetes. Additionally, recent data from the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency's "Diabetes Disease Burden and Management Status" shows that 46.7% of adults over 30 in Korea are in the pre-diabetic stage. Furthermore, the prevalence of pre-diabetes among young adults in their 20s and 30s is 21.8%, indicating an increase in pre-diabetes among the younger population.

KGC Ginseng Corporation's R&D Headquarters and Professor Park Sang-jun's joint research team at Gyeongsangbuk-do University conducted a study using a genetically modified diabetic mouse model. They administered red ginseng (KGC05pg) for 9 weeks and compared fasting blood glucose, postprandial blood glucose, hemoglobin A1c, insulin resistance, blood glucose regulation, and appetite-suppressing hormones such as GLP-1 between the control group and the red ginseng treatment group.

In the Hong Sam processing group, fasting blood glucose and postprandial blood glucose levels significantly decreased compared to the control group. Additionally, glycated hemoglobin and insulin resistance, which are indicators of blood sugar control over the past three months, also decreased. Furthermore, analysis of genes such as GLP-1 in the pancreas and liver of mouse models showed significant improvement, confirming the mechanism of blood sugar regulation by Hong Sam.

Professor Park Sang-jun of Gyeongbuk National University College of Veterinary Medicine stated, "Recently, the number of diabetes patients in Korea has exceeded 6 million, and the population in the pre-diabetic high-risk group is estimated to be over 15 million. Scientific evidence has confirmed that red ginseng (KGC05pg) improves various blood sugar-related indicators, demonstrating a safe and effective blood sugar regulation effect." He added, "In particular, since pre-diabetes has a high likelihood of developing into diabetes, maintaining regular blood sugar health is important. Therefore, elucidating the blood sugar regulation effect of red ginseng and confirming its potential for future diabetes treatment and prevention of diabetic complications is significant."

Recently, red ginseng (KGC05pg) was researched using KGC Ginseng Corporation’s R&D technology and officially recognized by the Korea Food and Drug Administration for its functionality in "helping to control blood sugar levels." Through this preclinical study, the efficacy, mechanism, and safety of red ginseng in blood sugar regulation were scientifically elucidated.

Meanwhile, Jeonggwanjang has launched two blood sugar care brands, 'GLPro Core' and 'GLPro Double Cut,' which use red ginseng (KGC05pg) recognized by the Korea Food and Drug Administration for its blood sugar regulation functionality as the main ingredient, and are gaining great popularity. The products sold over 10,000 sets within just two weeks of their release, attracting high consumer interest and becoming quite popular.
