How to boil cockles
It's truly delicious when eaten in season, whether in marinated cockles or bibimbap. When eating cockles, I think the most important part is boiling them. So today, I'll teach you a simple way to boil cockles that even beginners can achieve with proficiency.
First, prepare 1 kg of dried pollack by thoroughly washing it.
Bring the water to a boil over high heat. Add the dried pollack and two green chili peppers and bring to a boil. When the water starts to boil, add two tablespoons of Cheongju and stir well in one direction.
The reason you only need to stir in one direction is because the meat tends to get pulled to one side, so it's better to keep stirring in one direction.
Cover tightly with the lid and continue cooking.
Open the lid occasionally and continue stirring in one direction. Then, turn off the heat when 4-5 clams have opened their mouths.
If you boil the clams for too long, they can become tough. So, it's best to turn off the heat when 4 or 5 clams have opened their mouths.
After turning off the heat, cover the lid and let it sit for about 2 minutes.
After that, take the clams out of the water and use a spoon to open the lid, which is very convenient.
If you are going to make mackerel bibimbap, remove all the shells, and if you are going to make a side dish, just open one side!

My mom and I are ghosts lol
We still live in a rural area with a 5-day market?
That's why I buy mackerel almost exclusively on market days.
It's also delicious when you eat it with seasoning sauce on top.
I just boiled it and sat down with my mom
