How to remove bulging cellulite on arms and legs
The bumpy, orange peel-like appearance of the skin on the arms or legs is called 'cellulite.' It occurs when blood circulation or lymphatic flow is poor, causing fat tissue, bodily fluids, and collagen fibers to clump together. Since cellulite is not simply caused by weight gain, it often remains even after losing weight. So, how can cellulite be removed?
Cellulite occurs when connective tissue surrounds fat, so physical force must be applied to break this tissue in order to eliminate it. To do this, it is good to consistently perform massages that promote lymphatic circulation, which helps move waste out of the body. When lymph becomes stagnant, powerful toxins are expelled, leading to swelling and the easy formation of cellulite. For example, people with poor lymph flow in the lower body are prone to swelling and cellulite around the lower back near the sacrum or the thighs. The lymphatic circulation massage method is as follows.
▷Legs = Gently close your hands and tap from the outside to the inside of the groin five times. Lying face down, place a golf ball on each side of the pubic bone, bend your elbows to lift your upper body, and hold for 15 seconds, which is also effective. While sitting in a chair, place the bulging muscles at the back of the calves on the opposite knee and rub up and down.
▷Arm = The muscle located approximately one-third below the point dividing the shoulder and elbow into three equal parts is the deltoid. It is good to stretch this area evenly for 30 seconds. Using a golf ball to press between the armpit and then bending both arms at a right angle and moving them side to side 10 times and up and down 10 times can also be helpful.
Bodyweight squat exercises prevent cellulite and create slim thighs. First, stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, with your toes slightly pointing outward. Then, focus on keeping your knees in front of your toes and sit down until your thighs are parallel to the ground. In that position, straighten your back and hold the posture for about 5 to 10 seconds. Finally, as you rise back up, engage your thighs by feeling as if you are pressing with your heels. Be careful not to let your hips drop below your knees when sitting down, as excessive stress on the knees can occur.
Avoid a high-carbohydrate, high-fat diet in your usual eating habits. This diet suppresses fat cell breakdown and promotes the formation of cellulite. Eating little dietary fiber or having a habit of eating salty foods is also not good.
If cellulite does not disappear despite massage, dietary, and lifestyle changes, liposuction surgery can be considered. Liposuction breaks the hardened fibrous tissue layer. You can also undergo mesotherapy or RIRS procedures. Mesotherapy involves injecting medication into the dermis layer of the skin to break down fat and promote blood circulation, while RIRS is a procedure that breaks down and removes firm cellulite tissue.
