The watermelon in the picture is the one I bought, and it was well ripened~~ Now I find myself craving watermelon more often.

It would be great to know some tips for choosing the sweetest watermelon.

1. Belly button size comparison!!

Observe the belly button opposite the stem of the watermelon!

The female watermelon has a belly button that is less than 1 cm, so it's very small.

2. The shape of the watermelon stem!!

Standing upright is likely a male, and curled up is likely a female. (But since most places cut off the stem before selling, it might be hard to compare!)

Choose a watermelon without yellow stains!!

The area with the yellow stain is where the watermelon was touching the ground, and it may not have received enough sunlight. The sweetness might not be good!!

4. Comparison of the color and pattern boundaries of watermelons!!

Watermelons that receive plenty of sunlight show a clear boundary between bright green and dark green. The deeper the color, the higher the likelihood of sweetness.
