Human relationships become narrower and deeper as one gets older

In the past, I enjoyed socializing with many people and being known as a social butterfly, but these days, I am happiest quietly having a cup of tea with three or four close friends. I am realizing that connections where my mind can rest are becoming more precious than ones that drain my energy.
