When I go down the stairs, my knees hurt, it feels unnatural and it interferes with my movement.
I want to enjoy stair climbing for the rest of my life, healthy and free from knee pain.
Hello. I've been doing stair climbing exercises for the past 2-3 months to strengthen my lower body and improve my overall health.
I feel a great sense of accomplishment as I climb each step, feeling like my cardiopulmonary function is improving and my thighs are getting stronger.
However, as I increased the intensity of my exercise, I began to feel a sharp pain in my knee joint intermittently when going down stairs or immediately after exercising, which deepened my concerns.
My real goal isn't simply to lose weight or build muscle in a short period of time, but to incorporate this great exercise routine into my daily routine, "pain-free and long-lasting," without harming my knee health.
So I have a few questions and would like to ask for your advice.
First of all, is it always best to use the elevator to minimize the shock when coming down the stairs?
If there are any supplementary exercises that can help strengthen the muscles around the knees and prevent strain on the joints, I would like to hear your recommendations.
Also, I'm curious about the correct posture to reduce the burden on the knees, such as how to ground the soles of the feet when climbing or the angle of the upper body.
They say pain is a signal from the body, but I'd also like to know the criteria for whether I can tolerate a little bit of soreness and continue, or whether I should rest immediately.
Rather than being greedy, I want to build my health in an honest and wise way.
First, I would like to know the valuable experiences and knee protection know-how of those who have been treated first.
It's too bad to quit
