If carbohydrate intake and other meal portions are drastically reduced, muscle loss may occur. It is important to include protein (such as lean meat, fish, tofu, eggs, etc.) to protect muscles and maintain a balanced diet. Middle-aged individuals experiencing natural muscle decline should be especially cautious. Vegetables with low calories and high antioxidant content must be consumed. It is recommended to eat multigrain rice with a low glycemic index (GI) that causes blood sugar to rise slowly. You can also have snacks in the afternoon if you feel hungry.
