위험하고 꼭 알고 있어야할 질병이네요... 소중한 정보 공유해주셔서 고맙습니다
If you experience these symptoms, suspect benign paroxysmal positional vertigo.
Recently, I suffered greatly from benign paroxysmal positional vertigo.
There is no complete cure, and treatment is not easy, so it's not a simple illness.
I want to share and inform you about the symptoms of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo.
I found out I had benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) because I had no warning signs at all and didn't usually feel dizzy, but when I was about to wake up from sleep, I suddenly felt my head spinning and experienced dizziness I had never felt before.
Due to that dizzying symptom, I couldn't get up or turn over, and I couldn't even open my eyes! ㅠㅠ
I was so scared by the sudden symptoms that I was too frightened to open my eyes for several hours and just lay still.
At first, I didn't even think it was symptoms of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo and just thought it was a simple dizziness, but that wasn't the case.
Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) is a condition characterized by episodes of severe dizziness that feel like the surroundings are spinning, which then improve repeatedly.
The next day, I visited the ENT clinic where I could get a BPPV (benign paroxysmal positional vertigo) test and received a diagnosis for BPPV.ㅠㅠ
Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) does not improve with medication, so it is advised to avoid strenuous exercises and to be cautious.
And since I have a problem with my left ear, I was told never to lie down with my left ear on the ground!! The best position for lying down is to lie flat, and lying on my side is absolutely not allowed, but I am someone who sleeps on my side, so it was very difficult for me to fall asleep lying straight down.
As I mentioned above, since it's not something that improves with medication, there was no specific medicine prescribed, but when dizziness becomes too severe, I was advised to take headache medicine.
They told me about a lying exercise to alleviate symptoms of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, and I was advised to consistently do a posture where I look left, right, up, and down for 30 seconds each morning and evening. Doing this exercise every morning and evening was quite difficult for me haha.
Currently, my symptoms have improved significantly, and I no longer experience severe dizziness or dizziness symptoms. However, since developing BPPV, I sometimes feel a sudden sensation of dizziness. When I feel this way, I am extremely scared... It's frightening even to close and open my eyes, and I feel dizzy, as if I might faint... ㅠㅠ
If you experience dizziness like mine, do not simply assume it's just a headache or dizziness; please make sure to visit a hospital and get a check-up! The symptoms are quite different from simple dizziness!!
